Lismangeru is a circular earthen ringfort in County Cork, Ireland, standing forty-four metres across with a tall bank and deep fosse. Furze and briars have swallowed the entrance and interior, leaving only a recumbent stone visible near the gap. The shape suggests human hands built a defensible home or marker before nature reclaimed it, yet the fairytale name hints it may have belonged to something else entirely.

In rough grazing land, broken by rock outcrop, on break in NNE-facing slope. Circular raised area (44m E-W; 43m N-S) defined by earthen bank (H 3.4m); external fosse (D 1.2m); counterscarp bank (H 0.5m). Bank stone-faced internally in parts. Causewayed entrance (Wth 5m) to E. Bank and fosse overgrown with furze bushes and briars. Interior covered in ferns and briars; recumbent stone (1.1m x 0.5m x 0.3m) noted few metres from entrance. Lismangeru, Cusduff is a well-preserved circular earthen ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, with a stone-faced bank, external fosse, and counterscarp. Local tradition, common to many such sites in Ireland, may associate it with fairy folklore or ancient habitation by early Irish settlers.
