What is recorded here

No visible trace remains at Crowbally, though local memory still names the lost ringfort a fairy fort. That is not nonsense, but a warning about the danger of pretending the dead are gone. The earth took back the stones, walls and lives that made the place ordinary. What is missing is not nothing; it is a life completed, transformed and returned to the field.
