Outside the east wall of Teampul na bhFear nGonta on Inis Cealtra, a narrow graveslab bears a deeply cut single-line cross with hollowed angles. Macalister drew the stone but never numbered it, leaving its purpose and owner unnamed. The top edge has surrendered to grass, yet the shaft still cuts through the island's quiet air like a forgotten command.

Situated immediately outside the E wall of Teampul na bhFear nGonta (CL029-009015-) and 8.18m from the N wall of the ‘Saint’s graveyard’ (CL029-009030-) on Inis Cealtra. A graveslab (L 1.27m E-W; Wth 0.46m) drawn but not numbered on Macalister’s plan of the graveyard (1916-17, pl. XV). Although this slab is not numbered or described by Macalister it has a deeply incised single-line cross running the length of the slab. The cross has hollowed angles and the shaft is open-ended. Probably dating to the early medieval period, this cross-slab may have had a Christian liturgical or commemorative function, possibly associated with the monastic or ecclesiastical site on Inis Cealtra. Local tradition may link it to saintly figures or burial practices connected to the island’s holy reputation.
