The cross from Carrigafreaghane, now in the National Monuments Depot, Killarney, was likely built in the 7th to 9th century and is associated with the early Christian monastic site of Sceilg Mhichíl. It is a small, plain high cross, significant as a remnant of the ecclesiastical activity on the island.
