The cross from Sceilg Mhichíl was likely built by early Christian monks in the 7th or 8th century and is associated with the monastic site dedicated to St Michael. Its small size and two short arms reflect a distinctive early Irish high cross style, and the site itself is of significant historical and religious importance as an early Christian settlement.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
