What is recorded here

Indicated is a well-preserved subcircular cashel on a grassy rise above a Galway stream, its drystone wall still standing nearly thirty metres across. The northern gap looks modern, as if somebody cut through ancient work for a cart wheel or a hurried escape. Grass hides the foundations of a possible house at the centre, suggesting the fort did not exclude life but shaped it. A person may have stood inside at dusk, watching water move below and asking whether the stones were built to keep out strangers or to hold something precious within.

On a rise in low-lying grassland and rock outcrop, c. 50m S of a stream. Well-preserved subcircular cashel (29.9m NW-SE; 26.4m N-S) defined by a drystone wall overlain by a later field wall at S. A gap at N appears to be modern. The grassed-over foundations of a possible house site (GA128-037001-) are evident in the centre of the interior.
