This is the record for the early Bronze Age burnt mound excavated by Ellen O'Carroll (E3217) on the N11 road improvement scheme. (O'Carroll 2009a) Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 14 January 2013
Bronze Age burnt mound, dating to approximately 2000–1500 BCE. It is significant as an example of a thermally modified structure, possibly used for ritual, industrial, or domestic purposes, and was uncovered during infrastructure development.
