What is recorded here
Fairy fort in Courtbrown, County Limerick: a thirty-metre earthen ring, partly sunk into pasture, its bank still standing from southeast to northeast while the rest has given way. Trees cover the level middle now, hiding whatever the ring once kept inside. It is the kind of place where human life and fairy story become hard to separate, as if the earth itself forgot which claim to remember.
On low rise, in gently undulating pasture. Arc of enclosing earth-and-stone bank (int. H 0.7m; ext. H 1m) survives SE->NE (diam. 30m N-S) but is not evident NE->SE. Level interior is covered by trees.
