What is recorded here

No visible mound remains in Aghnadarragh, only a shallow counter-scarp cutting through the grass like a forgotten knife mark. That much is certain. What is missing is the hand that dug it, the reason it was dug, and whether the platform above ever carried a hall, a boundary stone, or a person watching the road. The ground keeps that part back.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as COUNTERSCARP PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
