Coulagh keeps a rectangular stone aligned north-south, standing 1.58 metres tall in open pasture where sight runs unbroken to every horizon. That much is clear. Whether it marked a boundary, a burial, a meeting place or a warning remains unknown. The stone does not explain itself. It waits in the field, enduring rain and forgetting, while people come and go around it.
