Under Cortial, a narrow stone throat runs east into a small round chamber, built by human hands to hide or hold something from the weather. The passage measures barely a metre wide and little more than head height, forcing anyone inside to walk single-file into darkness. The sudden widening into a circular room feels less like a cellar and more like a chamber waiting to be heard.
