Structure

A large piece of elm brushwood (L 2.5m; diam. 0.059m) on the field surface. The piece has been damaged by machinery and is now broken. One end is cut to a chisel point. The site is located in moderately humified Sphagnum peat. The site is located c. 5m to the E of SMR OF007-232----. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
