What is recorded here

Originally recorded as being exposed on the field surface (exposed L 5.7m; Wth 0.8m) and being milled immediately W of a drain (Dunne 1999, 13, 99LBW0034A). However, it appeared to extend under the bog surface that rose away from the drain towards the centre of the field. Excavation revealed longitudinal twigs and small brushwood, arranged in a band (Wth 0.5-0.8m) orientated NE-SW (Dunne 2002o, 207). Compiled by: Mary Tunney based on data supplied by Jane Whitaker, Archaeological Development Services. Date of upload: 26 August 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
