Fairy fort in Coolrus, County Limerick: a 30m embanked ring on a NE-facing pasture slope, mapped in 1923, now levelled and gone. It may have marked a boundary, a shrine, a childhood game or a warning about the ground itself. The land kept its shape long enough to be drawn, then took it back. What was removed is not known; what remains is the absence, clean and sudden, in an ordinary field.
