Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Coolfree, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a small circular embanked enclosure on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and occupies an undulating landscape overlooking bogland. Gannon measured the circular area at 25 metres east-west and 23.5 metres north-south, defining a defaced earthen bank that is no longer visible at ground level in pasture.
Marked as a small circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 25m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on an undulating landscape overlooking bogland WNW-ENE. Described as a circular area (diam. 25m E-W; 23.5m N-S) defined by a defaced earthen bank (Gannon 1972). It is not visible at ground level in pasture.
