What is recorded here
Connahy is an old village site hidden among named fields in County Kilkenny. People still call one place Baile Curráin, preserving the shape of a lost neighbourhood. The exact houses and dates have faded, but the name keeps the settlement alive in the land.
According to O'Kelly (1969, 42), among the named fields in Conahy townland is 'Baile Curráin (O) said to be the site of an old village'. The date and precise location of this settlement is unknown.
