Cahermanureen is a ruined circular cashel in Galway pastureland, its drystone wall collapsed and overlain by later field walls. A man-made underground passage still cuts the northern interior, suggesting the site remained active long after its outer ring faded. Cattle may now walk over doors that once led beneath the earth.

In undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 30m) defined by a collapsed drystone wall which is overlain by a later field wall from N to E. No visible surface trace survives from SSE to SW. A field wall cuts the monument at NNW and SSE. A Man-made underground passage (GA084-067001-) lies in the N half of the interior.
