Little Fort is a low earthen ring on a sun-warmed slope in County Longford, its shallow ditch mostly forgotten by grass and time. The broken bank at the northeast may still mark the entrance used by people who lived there before written memory. Cattle graze around it now, unaware that they walk beside a shape made by human hands.

On a SE-facing slope in pasture. A raised subcircular area (36.7m E-W; 31.8m N-S) enclosed by a partially denuded, low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.1m; H 0.1-0.7m) with a largely infilled, shallow external fosse (Wth 3.1m; D 0.25m).
