What is recorded here

Indicated is a circular earthen ringfort on the east side of a Mayo ridge, its low tree-covered bank enclosing pasture and exposed rock. The shape suggests people once drew a line around life itself, keeping out rain, danger or forgetfulness. What ever was protected there has blurred into legend, but the bank still holds its shape against the sky.

In pasture, on E side of ridge. Circular area (38m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by low (H 0.6m), tree-covered, earthen bank. Interior contains much rock outcrop.
