Grave Yard in County Limerick holds the medieval ruins of Cloonanna at its centre, a square patch of dark soil surrounded by a post-1700 stone wall. The graveyard has stood since before records, keeping the names of the dead and the shape of the church that once rose above them. It is not a place for jokes or games, but for remembering that people lived, died and were forgotten there long before anyone wrote their story down.
