Detached two-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1820. Single-bay single storey outbuilding to side (east). Recent lean-to extension to rear (south). Pitched artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed opening with two-over-two timber sliding sash window. Square-headed door opening with replacement timber panelled door. Rubble limestone boundary walls with rendered piers and wrought-iron gate. Outbuildings to front and rear.

This house, typical of modest rural vernacular dwellings of both Bere Island and the Beara Peninsula, retains much of its original form and style. The asymmetrical proportions of the house enlivens the facade, which is further enhanced by the retention of the timber sliding sash windows. The associated outbuildings add to its setting and context.
