Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cloghaunsavaun

Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Cloghaunsavaun holds a earthen ringfort where Clare fields still mark the boundary between human history and fairy temptation. The ridge may have served as a defensive home, a boundary marker, or a doorway into the hidden world, depending on which part of the story you believe. Its preservation suggests the land continued to treat the circle as significant long after ordinary buildings changed around it.
