Wood-Martin (1887-8, 273) recorded the discovery, in the 1870s, of a cist 'on a hill called Sheeawn' (SL025-051001-) which 'contained two urns, one inside of the other'. There are no visible remains of this cist. It is one of three cists known from Rathbarran townland (see SL025-071002- and SL025-151----).
