Well in Cheeverstown

Well

What is recorded here

Cheeverstown castle is gone, but its well remains close to the demolished remains in County Dublin. Water still moves through that hidden place, carrying the forgotten shape of the castle into the living world.
Mc Dix (1897, 170) in the Irish Builder mentions a well which lay close to the demolished remains of Cheeverstown castle (DU021-024001-). There are no visible surface remains. Date uncertain. Compiled by Geraldine Stout

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
