Man-made underground passage in Chanonrock

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Under the living rock of Chanonrock, a man-made passage cuts through ancient stone, its depth and purpose hidden beneath the hill. Local tradition still points to the entrance, suggesting human hands shaped the darkness long before written records. The rock may have swallowed the path, or the path may have waited for someone brave enough to find it.
