What is recorded here

Located towards the W edge of Cloonshannagh bog, c. 30m S of an element of the togher (RO024-024----), with platform (RO024-054----) c. 10m to the NW. The platform (L 3.12m; Wth 0.9m; T 0.12m) was exposed on the field surface and was orientated NNE-SSW. It was composed of poorly preserved randomly laid roundwood. The elements were sparsely laid 0.02 to 0.42m apart and ranged from 0.06 to 0.10m in diameter. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with moderate Calluna and Eriophorum inclusions. It produced a C14 date date of AD 1220-1270.
