Quarrying bit through the eastern and northern edges, swallowing the inner bank and fosse until only a ghost of the outer ridge remains. What is left belongs to an oval chamber fifty metres wide, large enough for herds, hearths and argument, yet small enough that every shadow touched the wall. The missing earth does not erase the shape; it proves the fort was worth taking.

In deciduous woodland. Poorly preserved oval rath (E-W c. 50m, N-S c. 40m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. Due to quarrying the inner bank and fosse do not survive at NW, and from NE through E to SE. The outer bank survives from NW through N to NE; no visible surface trace survives elsewhere.
