Indicated was a circular fort about fifty metres across, marked on the 1841 map before a road clipped its southeast edge. It stood in gently undulating Laois countryside, likely serving as a boundary marker or local shelter. The land has since smoothed its edges, removing the visible rampart but leaving the shape embedded in the survey line.

Marked on the 1841 edition of the OS 6-inch map, a circular 'fort' (max. diam. c. 50m) clipped by a road at SE. Situated in gently undulating countryside. No visible surface remains. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Laois' (Dublin Stationery Office, 1995) compiled by P. David Sweetman, Olive Alcock and Bernie Moran.
