What is recorded here
A large, split timber (L 1.77m; diam. 0.175m) on the field surface. The piece is charred on one surface. Saw marks are evident on one side, however, suggesting that this may be modern. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1993. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
