What is recorded here

The site (Wth 0.97m; D 0.175m) is orientated NW-SE and composed of mixed brushwood in opposing drain faces. The brushwood is largely orientated longitudinally. The site is more compact towards the centre where the brushwood is three pieces deep. Towards the edges, the brushwood is more dispersed and is 1-2 pieces deep. Evidence for woodworking and branch-trimming is noted on a number of pieces. Wood species include birch and alder. The site sits on moderately humified Sphagnum peat and is overlain by more poorly humified Sphagnum peat. It is located 1.7m SW of SMR OF007-273---- which is situated in the overlying peat stratum.
