Mairle and Seosamh Van Hoek identified four cupmarks on a grassy outcrop near Ballyduff in 1987. One mark holds a worn ring and an uncertain tail on a slope rising thirteen degrees east-northeast. The stones sit beside derelict farm buildings and a minor road, waiting for human hands to remember what they held before grass and rain softened their edges.

Identified by Van Hoek in 1987 and described as 'In the same field as DON 5 (DG003-014----) but quite near the derelict farm buildings of Ballyduff and the minor road, and also very near the N fence of the field, is part of a large outcrop, largely overgrown with grass, with four cupmarks. One has a ring which is heavily weathered at its N quadrant. It has an uncertain tail. This part of the outcrop slopes 13 degrees ENE' (Van Hoek and Van Hoek 1985, fig. 3D)' (Van Hoek 1987, 28). Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this rock art may have held ritual or territorial significance, possibly linked to early farming communities in the region. Its meaning remains undeciphered, but such motifs are often associated with symbolic communication or spiritual practices.
