Carrowreagh OR Craignacally holds at least six cupmarks on a large flat outcrop in County Donegal. The stones still display shallow circular marks though human hands and tools shaped them long before written history. People may have gathered there to mark territory, record ritual or simply enjoy the clarity of rock under open sky. The cups remain visible because they cut through time rather than fade like paint or wood.
