Carrownamorrissy holds a tight cluster of small rectangular fields beside a castle, their low stony banks still visible beneath grass. The fields stretch about two hundred and fifty metres on level ground, large enough for several houses and perhaps an enclosure. They suggest a busy local neighbourhood rather than a distant ceremonial site, with people moving between rooms, plots and shared space.

On level ground surrounding, but concentrated mainly to the NE of a castle (GA096-047----). A complex of small rectangular fields (28m by 18m max.) occupying an area c. 250m NE-SW by c. 200m are defined by low grassed-over stony banks. Several small rectangular houses (GA096-0181001-) are contained within the fields. The complex also contains a possible enclosure (GA096-182----).
