The Earls Well is a small spring-fed pool in County Kildare, named on maps from 1838 to 1910 beside a mound and unclassified castle. Water still rises from the base of a low rock outcrop, filling a shallow circular basin held by a broken dry-stone wall. It is the kind of place people may have drunk from, washed in or avoided after dark, depending on whether they believed earls were generous or hungry.

Named on both the 1st ed. (1838) and latest ed. (1910) of the OS 6-inch map, but not mentioned in the OSL. Immediately down-slope, to the SW of a mound (KD017028001-) and unclassified castle (KD017028002-). A spring emerges from the base of low rock outcrop and fills a shallow, circular pool (diam. 2m; D 0.3m) which is retained along the NE side by a short length of partially collapsed dry-stone walling (Wth 0.4m; H 0.6m).
