What is recorded here
One platform rath still stands in Carnkilly Lower, County Antrim. Built in the early Christian period, it rose above the ordinary field as a marker of local power or sacred use. The exact purpose has faded, but the shape remains clear: a made place, set apart, waiting to be remembered.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
