Terraced two-bay three-storey house, c.1840, retaining original fenestration with Doric shopfront to ground floor. Renovated, c.1990. Now entirely in residential use. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on overhanging rendered eaves having iron brackets. Unpainted replacement cement rendered walls, c.1990, to upper floors. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills, and rendered surrounds, c.1990. 6/6 timber sash windows to first floor with 8/8 timber sash windows to top floor. Timber Doric shopfront to ground floor with fluted engaged columns, fixed-pane (three-light) timber display window having elliptical-headed panes, timber panelled double doors with decorative overlights, fascia over having consoles, and moulded cornice with saw tooth detailing. Road fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.

A well-proportioned house, built as one of a pair (with 22810071/WD-21-10-71), which retains most of its original form and fabric, and which is distinguished by the variance in the glazing patterns to the upper floors. The retention of an exceptionally fine Doric shopfront is of significance, and the house contributes considerably to the visual quality of Main Street.
