What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort in County Cork, Ireland. It holds a circular pasture on a north-west facing slope, bounded by a low earthen bank with three gaps. People may have lived there, herded animals there or avoided it because the fairies already claimed the ring.

In pasture, on NW-facing slope. Circular area (32.1m N-S; 33.6m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (H 1.4m) NW->S; scarp S->NW. Gap in bank to NE (Wth 0.8m); second gap to SE (Wth 1.1m) may be ancient; third gap to S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
