Kilmaclugna church ruins still stand beneath the Cappagh graveyard sky, witness to burials since medieval times. The post-1700 stone wall holds the dead close while newer memorials crowd the north and older ones cluster south. What the church taught, the graveyard remembers. What it built, death completed.

The church ruins (LI020-082001-) standing in Cappagh graveyard was known in medieval period as Kilmaclugna (Begley 1906, 113). Church ruins stand in SW quadrant of large roughly rectangular shaped graveyard (approx. dims. 60m N-S x 43m E-W) enclosed by a post-1700 stone wall with entrance gate at centre of W wall.
