Caherrobert is a square stone ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland, holding a blocked underground passage in its northwest corner. The wall stands nearly two metres high around level pasture, catching light from the eastern ridge while shadow pools near the western slope. People may have built the passage to hide during storms or keep warm when winter tightened its grip. The fairies, according to local story, took the tunnel for themselves and never returned it.

In good level pasture, at edge of downward slope to W and high ground to E. Square-shaped area (39.6m N-S; 40m E-W), enclosed by stone wall (H 1.8m; Wth 0.9m), rebuilt in places. Modern gate in NE.
