Fairy forts are not fairy forts at all. They are discarded human settlements, misnamed because people stopped remembering the hands that built them. Cahernaglass keeps that warning intact: an oval stone wall, partially erased, sitting beside a ringfort and three modern huts. The boundary between human and supernatural is not a claim about spirits. It is a measure of how much memory has left the place.

Some 100m SE of a ringfort (GA058-041----). Poorly preserved oval cashel (NE-SW 58m, NW-SE 52m) defined by a drystone wall, no visible surface trace of which survives from SE through S to SW.
