What is recorded here

Abutting the interior W wall of Cahermacnaghten cashel (CL009-001010-) and adjoining the W gable of a larger house (CL009-001012-) to the E. The grassed-over remains of a house (ext. dims. 10m x 6m). This may be the ‘kitchen house’ mentioned as belonging to the big house in a deed of 1606 (FitzPatrick 2008 61-2). The foundations of three other houses (CL009-001049-, CL009-001050- and CL009-001052-) can be made out inside the cashel wall to the N and E. The houses within the cashel were divided between Aodh and Cosnamhach Ó Dabhoireann in 1606 and the deed also mentions that the houses had been the property of their grandfather (FitzPatrick 2008, 59).
