What is recorded here

Enclosure in Lissylisheen is a 35m limestone circle where a wedge tomb still occupies the north sector, embedded in a multiperiod field system stretching toward Lisdoonvarna. The eastern edge drops away, giving views from northwest to south, while the boundary wall kinks around the site as if marking something older than ownership. People may have stood there across centuries, reading weather, loss or direction in the open land.

Situated at the E edge of a partially grass-covered limestone plateau which lies within a very large multiperiod field system (CL009-001001-/CL005-116---*/CL008-045001*) that stretches from Lissylisheen to Lisdoonvarna. The land falls away to the E, providing good views from NW to S. A subcircular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) visible on Digital Globe orthophotographs (2011-13) N-S as an arc (Wth c. 2m) devoid of outcropping karst, likely representing a rock-cut ditch and S-N as a kink in the NNE-SSW field wall that forms the townland boundary between Cahermacnachtan and Lissylisheen.
