Indicated is a collapsed stone ringfort on a limestone rise in County Clare, marked on maps since 1897 but reduced today to a low wall broken by cattle gaps. Inside, faint banks and a small circle of upright stones stuck in the ground hint at an older division or ritual use. The fort sits within a wide field system, overlooked by higher ground, suggesting people shaped this place long before it became a boundary for livestock.

On a prominent rise in area of outcropping limestone overgrown with scrub and overlooked by higher ground to the SSE, within a large multiperiod field system (CL008-109001-). Indicated on the 1897 OS 25-inch plan and the 1920 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the RMP (1996). This subcircular cashel (int. dims. 26.6m E-W; 25.4m N-S) is defined by a collapsed stone wall (Wth 1.75m; H 0.7-1m) with associated tumble (Wth 1.5-2m) visible at its base both internally and externally. A few upright stones may be the remains wall-facing. Numerous cattle gaps cut through the wall. Within the NE quadrant of the interior, two barely visible overgrown banks define a triangular area (4.7m E-W; 4.5m N-S) that may be the remains of an internal division. In the centre, several mainly small upright stones, forming a circle, are stuck in the limestone gykes. One larger stone was visible at S and another at W. Old field walls extend off the cashel at SW and W.
