Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Caherhenryhoe

Caherhenryhoe holds three faint earthen rings across undulating Galway grassland, the largest spanning thirty-four metres while two smaller companions watch from the west. The main fort has surrendered most of its shape to time and pasture, leaving only a low platform and a possible underground passage beside it. People may have lived, hidden or worshipped within those vanished walls, but the earth has swallowed their footsteps and memories alike.
