Fairy fort / stone ringfort in Cahercalla

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Cahercalla holds a stone ringfort where human hands built a defensible home before forgetting the names of its occupants. The stones still stand in a circle, excluding doubt about the shape but refusing to explain the lives spent inside. It is a fairy fort only in the sense that time has turned a human house into a mystery large enough for legend to move in.
