Enclosure in Caherakeeny

In low-lying grassland liable to flooding, NW of a turlough. Circular enclosure (D 56.5m), very poorly preserved, enclosed by a bank and external fosse from WSW through N to NE. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere. A smaller enclosure (D 14.3m), possibly contemporary, adjoins the monument at NW and is also defined by a bank and external fosse. A gap and causeway at NE mark the original entrance. A field boundary cuts it at NE and SW. Another enclosure (GA042-052----) lies c. 120m to NW.
