Móin An Fhraoigh in County Kerry, Ireland, held a slab-defined grave a few metres north of the townland boundary before people covered it again. The earth swallowed the marker, perhaps to protect the dead or simply because peat land claims back what hands expose. Forgetting became the final act of burial.
