Burial in Dublin South City records human remains found while digging a half-metre trench in 1967. One skull had a trephination, a deliberate opening that may have been made to relieve pressure, mark initiation or ease suffering. The exact spot has been lost, but the bones still belong to someone who lived, bled and was set into the earth.
