What is recorded here

The 'Grave' marked on the OS maps apparently consisted of 2 upright stones about 3 feet high (.9m) and 10 to 12 feet (c. 3.5m) apart (OSM and Orpen 1908, 14). While digging the foundations for the house that now occupies the site, many small stone-lined graves were found and other graves have been recorded 100m due W (KE054-020----). A small portal dolmen, dating to the Neolithic or early Bronze Age, identified by two upright stones. Its significance lies in its simple megalithic form, representing early funerary or ceremonial practices in the region.
