What is recorded here

Indicated is a broken oval ringfort in low Galway grassland, its earth banks and fosse barely visible beneath modern field walls. The surviving western curve hints at a fortified home, perhaps occupied during turbulent medieval centuries when local families needed defensible ground. Its obscure name and faded shape suggest it fell from memory long before written records, leaving only a shallow depression and a story waiting to be recovered.

In low-lying grassland. Very poorly preserved oval ringfort (E-W 36.8m, N-S 32.5m) defined by two banks of earth and stone and an intervening fosse. A field wall cuts the monument at N and S, to E of which a degraded inner scarp forms the enclosing element. The fosse and outer bank only survive from SW to W.
